BAGV-100 m³ hot water accumulator tanks are used at thermal power plants (TPP), nuclear power plants (NPP), and other thermal energy facilities for storing hot water reserves utilized during peak loads. Water storage also provides economic benefits, as heating and accumulation can be carried out at night using lower electricity tariffs, while consumption occurs during daytime.

Manufacturing and Installation

The Saratov Reservoir Plant holds all necessary certificates of conformity for manufacturing BAGV tanks.

BAGV-100 tanks are produced using the rolling method: bottom and wall plates are delivered to the construction site in rolled form. At the plant, steel is shaped to required dimensions and welded into a complete structure. Roof panels, ladders, nozzles, manholes, and auxiliary metal structures are manufactured simultaneously.

All calculations are performed in accordance with Russian standards:

GOST 23118-2012 (“Steel structures. General technical requirements”)

SP 16.13330.2017 (“Steel structures”)

High-strength steel grades are used due to aggressive воздействия of water and high temperatures on the internal surface. The thickness of main structural elements can reach up to 16 mm depending on design and operating conditions.

Weld quality is controlled using various inspection methods.

Before applying anti-corrosion coatings, surfaces undergo sandblasting.

Anti-corrosion protection of BAGV-100 tanks is performed in accordance with

RD 153-34.1-40.504-00 and may include sealing liquids, zinc-rich coatings, aluminum metallization, and cathodic protection.

At the construction site, installation is carried out on a concrete foundation: first the bottom is installed, then the wall, and finally the roof. Thermal insulation is applied after assembly.

Hydraulic testing is performed after installation by filling the tank with water to its maximum level.
